Cooking – Marmite chicken

We have tried marmite chicken endless time when we dine out. M&J seems to like it a lot. I been thinking to learn how to cook it. Finally I google some recipe and try it out yesterday.


1/2 chicken

Marinate sauce

1tbs soy sauce
1/2 tbs salt
1/2 tbs pepper
1tbs sugar
3tbs corn flour

*The recipe call for another tbs of oyster sauce but I omitted it.*

Marinate for at least 1 hour.

Seasoning sauce

2tbs marmite
1tbs honey (next time I prefer replace it with sugar, I think honey doesn’t taste that good)
1tbs soy sauce
100ml water


1-Fried the chicken until golden brown. U can choose to deep fried or pan fried it. I did pan fried with my HCP. Set aside

2- put the sauce into pan and bring it to boil. Once it start to thicken, add in chicken and combine it with sauce for at least 1minute.

3- serve

It’s quite an easy dish to whip up.
