Under weather is no no no!

I for one, hate to be sick. Ok come on! Who likes to fall ill anyway? Unless when I was not a mom yet and I really really dreaded to go into office to face a very difficult day ahead, then at times I might have sort of “glad” I was a little under weather. 😝

But ever since I have kids, rain or shine. I get no escape from being a Mom. It’s not a joke nor exaggeration when they say moms work 365days a year. I SIMPLY CANNOT AFFORD TO FALL SICK.

When I was not well, I couldn’t cook, and I was so ill that I couldn’t even gather enough strength to drive out for take out. One night my kids had to munch on cracker till daddy comes home at 10pm with McDonald drives thru. And my 8yo was sobbing in joy when I told him his dinner is on the way home. That’s how pathetic it is when mommy is sick and kitchen is closed. I might not be a very good cook, but I ensure my kids’ belly are fed all the time.

All in all, I for one, always believe that, it’s a blessing that I have to labor everyday. I never mind the labor part as I believe to be able to do so, one has got a healthy body. And taking care of our own health is important. Always important. I told my mom that I will not mind to work till the day I go to meet my creator. I need no rest and will always find pleasure in work I do.

Many things ahead and I got lots more parties to attend! And 4 kids to entertain this school holiday!

Ideally, when I cook, he better b snoozing

Ideally, when I drive, he better be napping

Ideally, when I candy crush, he better be not bothering me…

But sometimes he does…..
So I call my crew to entertain the baby…

Or I close one eye, sometimes both, and let him…..

Play with my bag

Crawl at filthy kitchen floor

Whatever…. So long they are happy, moving, learning, observing, falling…… And mama gets the job done…….. Right??

What bout you? What does your baby do when mama is busy??

Manfred Journal – Phuket trip 28/4/2013 to 1/5/2013

I have yet to blog about our recent trip to Phuket, I am in the midst of downloading and re-sizing the pictures. Lazy and lack of time. But our beloved Manfred got his journal written the day we got back from the trip. And finally mama has the time to scan it and keep it for memory.

Those who were with us during the trip, do you understand what he wrote? or draw? :p

No secret that we fly budget…

He was referring to the van that we took to hotel from airport

Have I told you that a pool is all that we need?

Now this you tell me what u sees..

Catching a breather

We been so busy for the last few months, practically having program back to back every weekend. Due to busy weekend, it means my weekdays are busier too as I need to make sure all the marketing is done during weekend.

Super stress. But I can foresee after the month of April, things will be much better. In fact today we decided to stay home, do nothing. Do nothing means hub brings M&J out cycling early morning, and came back play football with them. While I snooze with N.. And later go to market.

M&J were super hungry by 12.30pm that without prompt, they went into kitchen and open up their char siew rice and polished it.

I had a chillax Saturday doing my chores slowly…. Having hub around does bring a sense of peace… He even made me my cuppa..

“Entertainment” for kids

As a result of risen number of reports of now screen time is actually “not good” for young children, I constantly feel bad whenever the boys are spending time in front of screen. When we mention screen time, it includes time on PC, smart phones, television, and tablets.

In order not to deprive their entertainment and ensure their day to day is fun and inspiring, we bring them outdoor on daily basis. They ride bicycle at least 5times a week. Not professional on the road doing laps, but they get out and catch fresh air and get in touch with nature.

And recently I bought a pack of chalks and let them play with their imagination. We play hop scotch too! I miss my childhood game.. Hopefully in time to come, we can introduce more of our childhood game to them…

Xmas eve 2012

It’s been tradition to goes to midnight mass. During years we skipped Sunday masses, we still attend Xmas midnight mass. But it was all about Xmas dinner, gifts exchange and Santa Claus going down chimney back then.

Lately years it has changed and Xmas has different meaning to us. It means a savior was born to us.

This year we go as a family of 5, together with pil and sil family.

We were early, and seats were plenty. But it fills up very quickly after 10min.

Hub was not feeling well, but he kept his spirit high and insist we all still attend. God was great. It was gloomy whole day and almost gonna rain at 9.30pm. At last it didn’t rain and it was windy. Weather was perfect. M&J behave fairly well as we separate them into different row. Nate slept through the whole 2 hours.

Baby Jesus in the manger.

We would have gone for supper after mass. But hub was not well so we opt to go home early and sleep.

This year “Santa” is busy that he disnt get me what I wanted! Hmph!
Nevertheless. I received a gift from sil. Tq so much!
